Richard Hixson is a fourth-generation Long Beach native who accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at a Good Friday service at Cornerstone Church in 2017. Among Richard’s greatest blessings are his beloved wife Christina, who he married in 1990, his two sons, Adam, and Ryan, and his granddaughter Elena. His deep love for the men of Cornerstone - his brothers in Christ - and his passion for God’s Word have led him to lead Cornerstone’s weekly Men’s Thursday Night Bible Studies since 2018.

Richard has the dual role of both Men’s and Local Outreach Minister. In his role as Men’s Minister, Richard desires to actively engage and prayerfully shape courageous men of God who exhibit bold acts of faith, as they are nourished in fellowship, demonstrate love for one another, and follow Christ’s Great Commission by going into the world and creating disciples who make disciples. Richard desires to help every man live out their God-given roles, using their God-given talents to grow as spiritual leaders who imitate Christ in their homes, workplaces, and the world.

As the Local Outreach Minister, Richard works with various local organizations that are engaged in sharing the message of the Gospel, in words, and in actions that demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ in Long Beach and throughout the local area.
